Tullamore was deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of Conor Hogan, Derryhill, Ballydaly in June of 2011.
Conor a son of Seamus and Martina Hogan died suddenly at the young age of just 15 at his home.
To mark the first anniversary of his death a fun walk or run will take place between 11am and 2.00pm in Tullamore Harriers on Saturday week next, June 16th.
The event will raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) which was founded in 2002 by parents who experienced the sudden and unexplained death in their family.
CRY’s main focus in 2012 is to help fund the screening centre based in Tallaght Hospital where families who have lost a young person to sudden cardiac death can receive support or where a young person who is experiencing symptoms can be evaluated.
An information day on CRY and a collection point will be in the Bridge Centre on this Saturday, June 9th.
More information from Conor Hogan’s mother, Martin on 086 1203777 or by logging onto www.cry.ie.
