Connemara Adventure Challenge – May 7th
The race will take the format of Gaelforce West with 3 disciplines; trail/mountain running (walking and jogging also accepted!), Kayaking and cycling. The course is mega, the scenery spectacular, so now all we need is the good weather! Connemara Adventure Challenge approx 31km in total and it is open to racers of all levels.

Gaelforce North – June 4th
We are delighted to announce that we are adding a new event to our calendar for 2011, Gaelforce North, which will now take place on the 4th of June in Donegal.Gaelforce North will see you discover some amazing parts of Donegal, information on the route can be found under ‘The Course’. This event will have the same disciplines as Gaelforce West and will be approximately the same length.

Gaelforce West – August 20th
Gaelforce West is the largest one day adventure race of its kind in the world. The 2011 event takes place on Saturday August 20th. It is a multi-sport adventure race involving cycling, running, hiking and kayaking. The course of approximately 67km stretches from the stunning Glassilaun beach to Westport. En route there are some significant obstacles to cross, including Killary Harbour and the famous holy mountain of Croagh Patrick. The event is designed for solo competitors, but you can run it with a buddy or training partner. Due to logistics we do not allow relay teams.

Turf Guy – Nov 6th -provisional date
This event will be a mental and physical challenge but will also be lots of fun. The course will be approximately 10km long but will involve cold October water temperatures, energy sapping obstacles, terrifying cliff jumps and much, much more. The Turf Guy takes place on the banks of Killary Fjord, Leenane, Co. Galway. It is important to note that this event is not just for boys! You need no special skills to compete in this challenge, just mental strength and fitness. As with all of our challenges it is open to the hard core elite and the gym dodgers alike!
