Croagh Patrick in memory of Rory Dell
- 12:00 am - 11:59 pm
Huge thanks to Mark Carrick and Paula Dell who have confirmed their annual climb is back again – this year on Saturday 26th May. Supported by family and friends they’ll climb Croagh Patrick in memory of Rory who died suddenly on 22nd November 2012.
It really is a tough challenge – a little about what they’re taking on in their #ChallengeForCry
Croagh Patrick meaning “(Saint) Patrick’s Stack”), nicknamed the Reek, is a 764 metres (2,507 ft) mountain and an important site of pilgrimage in County Mayo in Ireland. It is 8 kilometres (5 mi) from Westport, above the villages of Murrisk and Lecanvey and overlooks Clew Bay. It is the third highest mountain in County Mayo after Mweelrea and Nephin. Normally it takes about two hours for the average person to reach the summit and one and a half hours to descend.
