It was our pleasure to catch up with Eoghan Priestley and Grainne Lee, recently, at the Centre in Tallaght, where they presented CRY Ireland CEO Lucia Ebbs with the incredible sum of โฌ๐๐,๐๐๐.๐๐ in memory of Eoghanโs brother & Grainneโs cousin, Simon Priestley.
Simon died suddenly on October 24th, 2018 aged 29. Since Simonโs passing, his parents David and Geraldine, his brothers Eoghan and David and the extended Priestley family, have fundraised tirelessly in support of CRY Ireland.
This year Eoghan & Grainne took on the challenge of the Irish Life Dublin City Marathon โ 42km/26.2 miles in memory of Simon. They completed their challenge successfully, with huge support along the route for Eoghan & Grainne.
Their determination in completing their challenge was matched by their determination for fundraising – their target was surpassed within days, and ultimately the incredible sum of โฌ16,138 was donated in support of our work.
Weโre so grateful for the amazing support we receive from fundraisers โ the reason we can achieve so much. CRY Ireland are proud to have you both and the extended family on #teamCRY.
๐Thank you to Eoghan & Grainne โ what an achievement โ lacing up for your first Marathon โ and thank you to everyone involved in your support crew, your family, friends, and colleagues who donated so generously โ your kindness and effort means the world to us!๐
