On the 26th of June Greg Hogge’s family and friends climbed Croagh Patrick in his memory. Greg passed away suddenly on the 8th of May 2019 on the Hill of Tara whilst out for a run. His sudden death devastated his loving family, girlfriend Aisling and a huge circle of friends.
Aisling told us “We wanted to do something in Greg’s honour to bring his loved ones together and the weekend in Mayo was so special. Greg’s family and I will cherish the memories from it forever. To be surrounded by so many people who loved Greg was incredible. We are so thankful to each and every person who supported us in the lead-up to the climb and on the day itself. So many people reached out to our families, it was unbelievable.
Thank you to the extended Hogge family, the Heffernan family, Bective G.A.A club and community, the Kilcarn gang, the Dunderry cyclists and all of our wonderful friends who have been there for us all along. It really is a case of too many to thank individually!
We also wanted to raise awareness of the incredible work CRY does and I think within our circle we have managed to do that. Greg’s family are so appreciative of the services available to them from this charity.”
A message from CRY – heartfelt thanks to Aisling Heffernan and Greg’s family for choosing to support our work & THANK YOU to the extended Hogge family, friends & colleagues for their generosity. We are incredibly grateful.
Thank You to everyone who donated online (iDonate) and to those who donated through the family.
The support shown to the family was overwhelming and Aisling presented CRY Ireland with €14,777.00. THANK YOU to all.
