We were contacted by the family of Luke Fionnán Nolan from Galway recently and they told their story of their son, brother, friend who died suddenly on May 11th 2020 in Melbourne.
With the difficulties Covid-19 posed in getting Luke home, friends set up a GoFundMe page to help. The family were overwhelmed with the response to the page set up with the aim of bringing Luke home. Over 3,500 donated and the family recently made the decision to distribute the balance of the funds and made donations to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, the Mater Hospital and CRY Ireland.
With the permission of the family we’re sharing Luke’s story, please take a couple of minutes to read it and remember Luke.
On behalf of CRY Ireland heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the fundraiser and the family and THANK YOU to Luke’s family (his parents Liz & Joe, twin Marcus, brothers Michael & Oliver and sister Jessica for their generosity in supporting CRY and our work.
