We’re delighted to be partnered with Smithstown Light Engineering for their 2020 Project. Huge thanks to the staff/management who nominated CRY Ireland.
Read about it here:
As part of their goal to becoming carbon neutral, they are giving staff the use of three fully electric cars for work and personal use. Their aim is to take 4.5 metric tonnes of Co2, per car, off the road. By making these three electric cars available to staff they are promoting car-pooling, whilst giving all their staff the experience of 100% electric driving.
Furthermore, from the end of March 2020, both of their facilities in Shannon will be powered by certified renewable energy, meaning these cars will be powered by truly green energy!
As they travel along our green road to a Carbon neutral Irish company, they have committed to supporting their chosen charities, Pieta House, Milford Care Centre and CRY Ireland. The more Co2 they take out, the more the charities will benefit. Good for the environment, good for the community.
