We’re very proud to call Daryl Carney a #FriendOfCry – Daryl is with the Irish Defence Forces and continues to support CRY while on tour. As I share this post the 58th are travelling home.
In the early hours of the 16th of March Daryl and the men and women of the 58th Infantry Group, UNDOF (United Nations Disengagement Observation Force) on tour in Syria completed a half marathon in BOMBSUITS to raise much needed funds for two Irish charities – S.O.S (Suicide or Survive) & C.R.Y Ireland. A half marathon is a huge challenge – add in a bombsuit and imagine the challenge they took on and successfully completed – well done to one and all.
We’re very lucky to have the continued support of Daryl – thank you and to thank you to every member of the 58th Infantry Group for your donations, support & generosity in undertaking charitable events while on tour.
We’re extremely grateful for the fundraising – €1,600 raised to date – and you can still make donations here https://www.gofundme.com/bombsuit-half-marathon
