Photos taken ahead of the departure of #TeamCry for the 2017 Camino on Saturday 16th September at Dublin Airport – Huge thanks to Declan Doyle, photographer for capturing some fantastic moments ahead of the group’s departure for Santiago.
Katrina Connors along with her sisters Jacqui Erskine and Denise Connors were part of the group who travelled, remembering Dion – Declan & Katrina’s son. Marie Greene led the team, remembering her son Peter, Anto Hegarty walked the Camino in memory of his sisters Clarissa and Grace, Marian Finn completed her fourth Camino while remembering her son Andrew, Greg and Elsa Leonard joined remembering their son Francis. Marie’s sister Madeleine Griffin met the group in Santiago and Leslie Benner and Peter Kieran also chose Cry for their Camino Journey. #TeamCry successfully completed the French Way walking the final 115K of the Camino arriving to Santiago on Friday 22nd September 2017.
An emotional journey and a tough week for anyone who travels but an amazing personal achievement and memories that will last a lifetime. Walking into Santiago at the end of the week and to see the Botafumeiro in the Cathedral completes the week. Heartfelt thanks from Cry Ireland to each of you for being our Fantastic Families.
