Not the result we hoped for and devastated for the lads to hear that due to extreme weather conditions they won’t make the final summit on Mont Blanc.
By law no-one can continue in extreme weather conditions. Davy has confirmed the team are deflated but they know how the mountains work & safety is a priority.
A huge personal challenge undertaken and WELL DONE to Johnny O’Toole, David Willoughby and John Scully and all of the team who travelled from all of us here in Cry.
Tuesday 8th August saw them reach 3,842 metres and they head home this weekend (12th August) and we think you’re all amazing and are very proud to have you on #teamCry.
We know the lads have had great local support from family & friends in training and preparing for this journey.
Heartfelt thanks from Cry Ireland to everyone who has supported #teamCry.
