Sunday 5th August 2012 saw Tony’s Sponsored Headshave @ Shrinrone, County Offaly in Memory of Deborah Carney who died suddenly on 11th January 2012.
Tony Monaghan was joined on the day by Deborah’s cousin Kevin Gaffney along with six other family and friends for the head shave.Sally, Debbie’s mom shaved Tony’s hair & beard.
Tony had not had a hair cut or shaved his beard from the time of Debbie’s death until August 5th.
Along with the head shave family and friends supported Sally by organising a group to participate in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon on June 3rd 2012. The proceeds from the fundraising events were handed over in September 2012 – over €16,000.00.
Sally’s fundraising for Cry continued with two car boot sales and “Remembering Debbie” wristbands were made in her memory. A further €2,600 was raised and donated.
