CRY laughs all the way to the bank
With Chris Fingleton
CRY is laughing all the way to the bank, thanks to the Lawlor family.
A cheque for a whopping €15,000 has been presented to the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) by the Lawlor family from Ballykilduff, Tobinstown.
The cheque presentation was made at a function in the Wagon Wheel Pub, Knockananna on behalf of the parents of Daniel Lawlor Junior who died suddenly on 20 September 2009 at the age of 28.
CRY is an organization set up to help parents and families who have been bereaved by sudden or unexplained death.
“We were absolutely delighted with the support we received from everyone who helped us organise the many events throughout the year. Even though we are living in recessionary times, it is because of people’s generosity that we were able to present a cheque for such a large amount of money,” said Dan Lawlor Senior.
This phenomenal amount of money was raised following a Vintage Tractor and Car Run and other events.
Dan concluded by saying: “We are most grateful to everyone who helped us in any way”.
