A massive thank you to all the lovely ladies who took part in the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon on Sunday last in Dublin and in their local communities around the country. Thank you for raising much needed funds for CRY Ireland while always remembering your loved ones and supporting family members living with inherited cardiac conditions.
Here is something we would like to share with you that was posted recently in the lead up to the Mini Marathon from a young lady who’s family are currently being supported by CRY:
” I am doing my first mini marathon, and it is the most important thing I have ever done. I am doing it for my lovely Nanny. She is very sick right now and her heart is very poorly. I am also doing it to remember my Uncle who went to heaven because of the same heart condition. I am raising money for this amazing charity because they have been like superheroes for my whole family. They don’t just do check ups on our hearts to make sure we are safe; they also take care of our feelings. They organise the best family days and cousin days. We get to do art therapy together, which means we can draw and paint our worries away and talk to each other about how we feel. It helps us not feel so scared about our heart condition, and we are so lucky to have this support. If you donate and help CRY Ireland, we can together help lots of other people who need this fantastic support from this charity”.
