On the 17th of July members of Conorโs family and friends are undertaking a sponsored pilgrimage, 120km, from Ferrol in Galicia to Santiago de Compostela. They will arrive in Santiago at 12 noon on July 25th. 2010 is Holy Year in Santiago de Compostela and on July 25th, Conorโs 4th anniversary; the Feast of St. James will be celebrated there.
Conor died suddenly on July 26th 2006 at his apartment in Dublin. Conor had a life long interest in Spain and he spoke, both, Spanish and Portuguese fluently. He was also a frequent visitor to Spain.
All proceeds from the memorial walk will be donated to CRY Ireland.
