OVER 100 spectators gathered in Ballymount Park in August to watch a memorial match in memory of Ciaran McDonnell, and raised €660.00 for CRY Ireland.
Ciaran died suddenly in February 2010 and Kingswood Castle FC competed against Team Kiwi which was composed of Ciaran’s friends and named in tribute for his nickname. Team Kiwi were out of luck, however, as they lost to Kingswood Castle FC for the second year in a row.
Ciaran’s mother Dolores was on hand for the presentation of the Shield and Ciaran McDonnell Trophy.
This year marked the 10th annual memorial match and heartfelt thanks to Ciaran’s friends Sharlene Kennedy and Dean Bonnie who organise the event. We’re incredibly grateful for your continued support of our work, always remembering Ciaran.
