Minister hails cardiac death charity work

A charity has enlisted the help of a senior Government figure to raise awareness of sudden cardiac death.
Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan will undergo an assessment on October 16 at the CRYP centre in Tallaght University Hospital, South Dublin.
He will raise awareness of the work of Cardiac Risk in The Young.
Mr. O’Donovan said: “We know screening and early diagnosis can save lives and I commend the important work carried out by the CRYP.
The charity’s chairman Tommy Fegen added: “We are excited by the engagement of the Government in our plans to expand our services at Tallaght Hospital.
