The Jack Murphy Memorial Society was created in memory of an outstanding young Australian Sportsperson and a proud Irish immigrant to the Hunter and Newcastle Region NSW.
Jack Murphy lost his life at just 14 years of age to Sudden Cardiac Death. Jack’s memorial society exists to bring the Irish Community together in both Jackโs adopted home in Australia and here in Ireland to celebrate Jackโs Irish identity and to raise awareness of, and research funds to combat, Sudden Cardiac Death.
On Saturday 8th October Jackโs mum Siobhan, Dad, Robert and his sister Aimee welcomed family, friends and CRY Ireland to the Hamlet Court Hotel (a fabulous location!) in Enfield. People travelled from far & wide, including Australia.
The event was a sell-out โ incredible generosity by those making a donation, buying a ticket, sourcing or sponsoring a raffle or auction item, buying raffle tickets and/or buying an Auction Item.
These nights donโt happen without a huge amount of work behind the scenes so THANK YOU Siobhan, Robert, Aimee, Professor Brendan Boyle โ who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and MCโd on the night and auctioneer extraordinaire Kenny Davy!
