Helen Stanley took part in this year’s Achill Half marathon on the 4th

July along with family members Patrick and Dominic in aid of CRY. It was a great day had by all and the atmosphere was fantastic.  CRY would like to extend a HUGE thank you for all their efforts in raising funds and awareness for CRY.

MICK GALWEY LAUNCHES CRY RACE DAY CARDIAC RISK IN THE YOUNG ANNOUNCE CHARITY RACE DAY AT GOWRAN PARK

Mick Galwey, Irish sporting legend joined Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) to launch the Inaugural Cardiac Risk in the Young Race Day which takes place at Gowran Park, Kilkenny on Sunday June 21st, 2009.

The event promises to be a thrilling fun filled day for all who attend. Cardiac Risk in the Young are appealing to all sport & racing lovers, father day present buyers, ladies who want to win “best dressed” and fabulous prizes to come along, support CRY and have a fantastic day out.

With the many various ways to help - ticket sales, hospitality packages and race sponsorship - all can join in. The race day aims to raise much needed funds for the charity itself and for the further development of the Cardiovascular Risk in Younger Persons Centre (CRYP) located at Tallaght Hospital. The CRYP Centre, which screens patient’s supports families affected by sudden death from throughout Ireland, at no cost, was completed and officially opened last November 2008.

Hospitality packages are also available for this exciting all day event including a VIP reception in Gowran Park Club House restaurant, where diners will enjoy spectacular views of the race course and the finishing post. A four course buffet (wine included), will be served and full bar service is available at your table throughout the race meeting, celebrity tipster, race card, followed by music and dancing. 'FROM A DISTANCE' Fundraising concert for friends of C.R.Y.

Concert @ 7.30pm

Join music legend Mary Black and musicians Blanaid Murphy, Spinner and Shamrog  for an evening of classical, modern and Irish music in Dublin next month.  The concert takes place next Saturday 18th October in The UCD Astra Hall, Belfield, Dublin 4 is being held in memory of Claire McCloskey.

Concert organiser Tom McCloskey lost his sister Clare 16 months ago to cardiac arrest.   Tom decided to host the evening as a tribute to his sister for her love of music and her memory while raising money for CRY Ireland (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

All music lovers are welcome.  Tickets €25
