Alpine Challenge 2017 Support Cry

Mont Blanc Presentation 2017

Back in August we confirmed that the lads on #teamCry for the Mont Blanc in aid of Cry Challenge - Johnny, Davy & John had reached the dizzying heights of 3,842 metres. So we were delighted to get the chance to thank two of the team in person in the Centre when Johnny O'Toole and Davy Willoughby dropped in to present the monies raised to Dr. Zane Sharif and Dr. Deirdre Ward.

A huge personal challenge by undertaken by Johnny O'Toole, David Willoughby and John Scully and we are very proud to have you guys on #teamCry.

Thursday saw them present us with €3,297.64 - heartfelt thanks guys to each of you for choosing to support Cry and thanks too from us to everybody who sponsored and donated so generously for your incredible Challenge For Cry.

#IronLadies and Leopardstown Golf Supporting CRY

LeoparstownLadies2017
Pictured are Kate Farrell, Bernie Farrell & Lucia Ebbs

We were overwhelmed with the generosity & support of the #IronLadies in #LeopardstownGolf - Bernie Farrell, the 2017 Lady Captain chose Cry as her Charity Partner and the incredible sum of €3,189 was raised at #CaptainsDay.

With the support of the Committee the  day was a huge success (despite the challenging conditions with the weather!). Some amazing prizes were donated and make the raffle that extra special. Marie Greene spoke to the #IronLadies over Coffee and told them a little about Cry and our journey to date.

Thank you to all who supported so generously. #Charity

Thank You

SADS Support Group Christmas Memorial Ceremony

2.30pm, Sunday 10th December 2017

Once again, this year in December the annual memorial ceremony to remember our young people who have lost their lives to Sudden Cardiac Death will be held. It gives us a quiet hour, or so to reflect and remember together amidst the hustle and bustle around us in December.

The ceremony take place on Sunday the 10th of December at the later time of 2.30pm in Monkstown Church of Ireland Parish Church, Dublin. The church is on the Monkstown Road, which is the main Dublin to Dun Laoghaire Road. Afterwards there will be tea and biscuits in St Patrick’s parish hall across the road from the church

The ceremony is about remembrance and support and we welcome everyone, regardless of your religious beliefs.

During the service there will be a candle lighting ceremony in memory of those we have lost. If you would like to, please bring along a framed photo of the person you have lost. We would like to stand the photos on a table in the church.

Christmas can be a difficult time for those of us who have lost loved ones. This memorial ceremony gives us the opportunity to remember those we have lost and meet others who have suffered a similar loss.

Please come along with your family and friends.

If you have any questions about the memorial, please contact Tracy Egan, Irish Heart Foundation on 01 6685001 or email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
