Make a splash for CRY with TriAthlone -July 2010.

This year TriAthlone takes place on Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th July with two types of entries; triAthlone sprint and the triAthlone Try-a-Tri. The triAthlone sprint entails 750meter swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. The triAthlone Try-a-Tri has a 200meter swim with a 20km bike ride and a 5km run for the participants.

The swim starts on the Connaught side of the River Shannon. The Athlone Boat Club will form the focal point of swim entry. This year the bike ride course sets off from inside the army barracks, and continues onto the Galway road. Finally, the most exciting part of the race is the run route, taking the participants through the narrow streets of Athlone town. This route will fabricate great atmosphere and enjoyment among the spectators and participants alike.

CRY are seeking volunteers to take part in the triAthlone and raise some vital funds for this great cause. If you are interested or would like more information please contact Lucia at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 01 452 5482.
