The Great Limerick Run 2010

Take the challenge in Limerick for CRY

The Great Limerick Run takes place on the 2nd of May 2010 with up to 7,000 participants. It is the first ever time that a certified full marathon, half marathon and 10K have been held in the same location in the one day and will be the most exciting event on the Irish calendar in 2010.

The marathon will work in hand with the city’s enjoyable Riverfest Festival.  This includes: a continental market, Live bands at Lava Javas, Street BBQ, Art exhibitions, Ceile Mor, Limerick’s ceramic worksbig screen, RTE National symphony orchestra, fireworks display and a biker parade.

The full marathon starts at the University of Limerick, the half marathon starts at the Old Cresent rugby club and the 10k fun run commences at Pery’s square with each of them finishing on Limerick’s main street, O’Connell Street after seeing a number of Limerick’s famous sites. With all the participants joining together at O’Connell Street, it is sure to be filled with fabulous atmosphere.

CRY are seeking volunteers to take part in the Connemarathon and raise some vital funds for this great cause.
