Connemarathon, 10th April 2011

A Marathon like no other.

Home grown and one of the most popular of marathons, the Ronnhill International Connemarathon is a unique opportunity to witness some of Ireland’s most famous scenic countryside whilst raising valuable funds for Charity. Thankfully the course caterers to different abilities, giving you the opportunity to enter the half, full or ultra marathon (39.3miles), a first of its kind in Ireland.

The course is unique in that instead of a vast sprawling City, where most marathons are now held, you get to take in the Twelve Pin Mountains, absorb the quiet in the village of Leenane and feast on the natural beauty surrounding the Maam Turk Mountains.

Held on the 10th of April, for a mere €70 you can participate in the 10th Anniversary run but hurry. Registration has almost reached capacity so don’t miss out on this fabulous opportunity.

This year, along with the usual bus transfers, race support, finisher’s medal, tee-shirt and customary soup and sandwiches you will also be provided with a race number and electric timing chip to mark your finishing time.

CRY is seeking volunteers to take part in the Connemarathon and raise some vital funds for this great cause.
