Give the TriAthlone a Try for CRY

If you are passionate about exercise and love a challenge, what better way to test yourself than to do a triathlon.  Depending on your level of fitness or training you can enter either the TriAthlone Sprint that entails a 750meter swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5km run or the TriAthlone Try-a-Tri which requires a 350meter swim with a 10km bike ride and a 5km run for the participants

During the course you will swim the Connaught side of the River Shannon, battling the current with the Athlone Boat Club forming the backdrop for the entry. Whilst the army barracks kick starts the bike segment before long you will find yourself running through the narrow streets of Athlone town.

Following the success of last year, Waterways Ireland TriAthlone will host the biggest triathlon event in Ireland, attracting competitors from all across the continent alongside the many well wishers who line the streets of Athlone.

CRY is eager to be your choice of charity for this event, to help raise vital funds for their cause. The event is scheduled for the first weekend in July but a date will be confirmed shortly.
